Computer Technology

Today I am going to write some interesting think about technology. In 90's people basically interested in computer. Computer is very big creation in technology at that time. Now technology is so much better from previous time. Every technology is depend on computer technology. Computer is the heart of all new innovation in world. Every technicians needs the help of computer to complete their work easily.

A computer the technology changed and it came with better invention that is laptop. Laptop is in demand more than computer because computer is not moveable device. We can't take computer with us. If we want to go anywhere we can't take our computer with us. But laptop makes that easy .we can take laptop we us and we are getting all the function which was in computer also in laptop and after that technology change to mobile phones and tablets. Now we can do any think with mobile phones and tablets. Easy to carry with us. We can put that in our pocket also.

 In India the computer technology is not familiar in so much States. In India there are 28 states and Only four state is better in technology I.e. Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and other remaining States are backward they still need to be develop and for better development they needs a technology. Due to lake of technology they are still under developed state in India. But now the president of India is decided to give them a better technology and better skill to develop fast and government is started by giving free Computer and knowledge of computer technology. In U.P (Uttar Pradesh state of India) the government has provided them a computer technology and gifting computer and laptop to those student who will pass and take admission in higher education school. So computer technology is very must requirement for all country and our country is started to develop a country through a computer technology.

Introduction to PC

A computer is a device that automatically performs arithmetic or logical operation on information input to it and provides an output according to the performed set of instruction stored with in it.

How the computer becomes usable. As we know computer is just a device and it can't run with three thinks I.e. Hardware, software and firmware.

Hardware, software and firmware together make up a computer usable.so many people don't knows the firmware. I can explain in small sentence about firmware. It is basically a lines on a motherboard of computer and he plays a roles between a hardware and a software to communicate with both of them.

Hardware: - hardware describes all the physical component used in the assembly of the computer.

Software: - software constitutes the instruction on which the computer acts which thus makes the computer useable.

Firmware: - firmware are programmed that are permanently written and stored in computer memory.

Basic think to know about computer technology

Rare view or Front panel of computer

The above image show the front panel of our PC. I am right or any one has something different from this?

Well I know everybody has front panel like this only. Just design will be some different from this image. Now let come to topic. I am going to tell you the exact name of all part which is available in front panel.

Personal computer is made up of so many separate items such as monitor, keyboard, mouse and CPU, mother board and etc.

Well in front panel in our personal computer is made up of many items. At the top we will get the 5.25 inch bay are normally used for devices like CD-Rom etc.

3.5inch bay below to CD-Rom is normally used for the floppy drives and in 90's floppy drive was used so much. But nowadays floppy is disappeared. But still we will get that floppy drive bay in our front panel.

Small window is also provided for USB, microphone and earphone/speaker.

 Back panel of computer

Now I am going to introduce the back panel of our computer and it is so important thing for us.

Computer is made up of separate items such as monitor, keyboard, mouse and the CPU cabinet as shown and back panel as shown in the pic above.

The back panel of the cabinet is shown all the connectors.

All the connectors fit into one of the seven major type i.e. DB, DIN, CENTRONICS, RJ, BNC, AUDIO and USB.

 All the too right is a socket for the power card as well as a voltage selector switch which is used to select the voltage to power up the computer.

Towards the top left are the two mini din connector for the mouse and the keyboard.

Below it the two USB ports used to connect the USB devices.

First DB connector is for the serial port which is 9 pin male connector used to connect device like mouse and modem.

Then a 15 pin female VGA connector used to connect to the monitor.

Parallel port or the centroid port used to connect to the printers.

Additional USB ports and RJ-45 connector are used to connect the patched card to the LAN card.

Three audio connector which includes one is microphone jack used to connect the microphone. Line-out Jack used to connect the speaker and line-in Jack used to connect to any other input or MIDI device.

An internal modem is also presents which has two RJ-11 socket .one is for phone jack I.e. - for the phone line coming in.

Internally power supply is positioned at the rear right hand side, diskette drives are of course readily identifiable such as hard disk, floppy disk etc. and finally system board or the motherboard.

 Motherboard components

The above image is a motherboard you can see that in your computer cabinet.so many thinks are on motherboard.it just look like a jungle if you imagine and if you see it carefully.

Motherboard, the Black Square or rectangular component mounted on the motherboard and expansion cards, integrated circuits (ICS)

The small oblong LCS with eight or more metal legs along each other the long sides are known as dual-inline (dic) or dual-inline package (dip) ICS

Most motherboard designs small components soldered directly to the board. These are known as surface-mounted devices (smds)

Microprocessor used in the latest high performance PC compatibles is the VLSI technology and Pentium lll and Pentium IV and are all state-of-the examples of VLSI technology.

Processor 

In common men mind processor is as heart of computer. But in technical language it is different.

In microcomputer CPU is a single integrated circuit ship containing a lot of complex circuit is called microprocessor.

In the original PC and xt and the cheapest slowest compatible, the microprocessor used was Intel 8088 or 8086.

Later more powerful microprocessor from Intel such as 80286, 80385sx, 80486dx, Pentium, Pentium lll etc. were used which are now being replaced by the IV and AMD'S Athlon processors.

Hard disk drive

Hard disk drive is the very important because our data is save in hard disk only. In nowadays people are basically using external Hard disk drive for data save. Because internal hard disk will get crash any time and our data will get lost. That is why people saving there data in external hard drive.

Hard disk drive is a sealed unit that a PC uses for non-volatile data storage. Non-volatile, or semi-permanent, storage means that the storage device retains the data even when no power is supplied to the computer.

In latest technology the hard disk is expandable up to 1 TB and above. In 90's the saving data in hard disk is up to some 54 MB.

RAM (random access memory)

RAM (random access memory) RAM is nothing but it is a memory. RAM is that of your computer that is used to store information. RAM chips are integrated circuit made of various components (transistors, resistors and capacitors) formed on the same chip. The leading companies which supplies a RAM are micron, Siemens, seaget etc.

RAM is now available in 4 GB. In 90's RAM was available in very less MB and nowadays it is coming in GB .There are so many type of RAM in market. Deferent RAM for deferent PC and also for different deferent uses.

OS (operating system)

With OS computer is useless. How much of you are agree with me and How much of you are disagree with me. OS is the soul of computer. With OS computer is just a box and nothing else.

Computer hardware gives us with the means of using computer in a efficient way. Without OS we can do any think on computer and  OS makes the software to be in use.OS is driven for the means of software use.The combination of hardware and software provide a total usable system.

OS is an important part of our every computer system. Computer system can be divided into four components the software, the hardware, the application programs,the Operating system and the users.

So many OS is available in market. Windows, Mac, red hat, Ubuntu and many more. Basically Windows are popular in local market. People usually likes Windows because windows is nice and simple to use.

Laptop and tablet

Nowadays people are mostly interested in laptop and tablet. Now technology is so good. We can get laptop and tablet in one device. You can see that in image the laptop is can be a tablet also. Four basic factors describe most of the PC-compatible portable computer on the market today. Laptop, notebook, tablet and sub-notebooks. Fourth type is hand-held or palmtops. The categories are based primarily on size and weight, but these factor have natural capabilities of the system a larger case obviously can fit more into it. You will see the 90% of people will have laptop and tablet because it is portable and you can take it anywhere easily and use it for your personal work and for entertainment etc.

Microsoft Windows mobile phone

Recently Microsoft has developed mobile for Windows OS. well everyone knows that mobile phone is every important for every human being and about 99% people in world have a mobile phone for their personal and business use and In future mobile will be most demanded technology and other product like laptop and computer will be so rare to be visible in market. If people will able to access anything in mobile phone so who want the computer and laptop. I am also a mobile user. I don't have laptop and desktop. But I am so happy because I can take it any way and use it anywhere and very simple to carry also.
